Jessica spends a vast amount of hours within the residence and is constantly using the door to access the flats. This is done weekly and is very time consisting.
Jessica is looking for a quicker and more easy way to access the flats without being misleaded.

- Michael -

Age - 18
Gender - Male
Goes to University studying sport
Michael is a resident at Glenamara House and spends a lot of his time going to and from uni so he is constantly using the doors which allows him access to the buildings.
Michael needs a faster method of gaining access to his accommodation so that he can get back to university as soon as possible, this would be very time saving.
The door then opens after the sensor turns green and grants you access.
Then the user has to get their fob out to open the door even though it states that it's automatic.
The door states that is is automatic so the user expects it to open on approach.
Then you see that there is a sensor displayed which will confuse the user.
Bad Interaction Design

This is a bad interaction design of an automatic door which is power assisted. This is misleading as the user will be unsure about how to correctly operate the door. As the function isn't displayed correctly and you need a fob to grant access.
